Areas of Practice

Reporting

Lindsay’s favorite thing about sports journalism is the opportunity to talk to people about what they are passionate about. She has also worked to find answers to questions for readers and help them understand how decisions being made will impact them in regard to Covid-19.

Multimedia

There are many tools available to tell a story. Sometimes it’s a video, sometimes it’s a map, sometimes it’s other data visualizations. Lindsay works to find the most effective way to tell them.

Editing

She works with reporters to shape stories for publication and edited stories on deadline. She knows AP Style and helps reporters identify tendencies in their writing to look for moving forward.

Social media

Lindsay runs social media for 406 MT Sports. Over five years, she has increased both the reach and engagement on all their accounts by being strategic and taking advantage of opportunities to build relationship with audiences.

analytics

The internet, software, and technology are so pervasive that we can’t remember having ever lived without them. They make our lives simpler, but behind the curtain are fluctuating challenges in protection and monetization—challenges that our firm stays two steps ahead of.

building Audience

She has seen that an important part of growing audience is by building that relationship. That comes from gaining trust by being transparent and responsive. People won’t always agree with what you write, but if you continue to provide information they can use, you build trust.
